The challenge

The Ashram Chowk underpass carries tens of thousands of vehicles and pedestrians daily. The existing structure was dark and requiring constant artificial illumination. PWD Delhi specified a polycarbonate vault to introduce natural daylight and reduce electrical load — in a high-traffic, high-vibration environment.

The solution

Coxwell Multicell 16 mm opal in vault profile across the underpass — 6,755 m² of diffuse, even daylight that eliminated supplementary lighting during daytime hours. The double-tooth interlocking system handles the vibration loading from traffic without joint movement or sealant failure.
